Tony Bond - Deck '51

I was born in Hornchurch, Essex, on March 25, 1934. We moved to the East end of London and I eventually ended up in Barkingside.  I was at the Vindi from November '50 to January '51 (Deck).  My first ship was the M.V. Scottish Musician, and then sailed on various ships ending up on the West River and then paid off in Montreal on in October of '58.  I sailed the Great Lakes from April '59 until August '64.  I settled in St. Catharines, Ontario, and worked at Port Weller Drydocks for 7 years.  I worked in the auto motive parts field until I retired in 1999.  Rita and I have been married for 35 years and we share our home with a golly collection (mine), an antique bear collection (Rita's) and three cats.  Our daughter, Lisa-Anne (L-A), is the webmaster of this website
