John Farthing - Deck '58

I was born in Hornchurch, Essex on Oct. 6, 1942. Went to Suttons School. Joined Vindi on Nov. 3, 1958 to Jan. 9, 1959 we got home for Christmas, that's how I survived starvation, By the way, did anyone ever go there in the summer? I was on deck and I see I got a proficiency badge for seamanship and was  boatswain's mate. I sailed out of KG  V and my first ship as peggy was the Port Alma to Kiwi.
