My wife
Jeanette and I were both born in Clydebank and I was at Vindi Nov-Dec
of 1955, Catering.
Sailed on British Defender, Crystal Cube and was
flown to Gib. to join the Geddington Court after one of the cabin boys
murdered the other. Spent a short time coasting and in 1958 decided to give
something else a try so went into the army (Royal Artillery). Met the girl who
was to be my wife and married her in August of 1961.
Later spent a short time on the post office
cable ship "Iris".
We have six kids, two boys and four girls (all
married) and six grandsons and six granddaughters.
We came to Canada in 1974 from Clydebank with
all our kids. I retired in 2000 after 20 years with the Scarborough Board of
Ed. and Jeannette my wife decided to retire in 2001 after 15 years in
Insurance. We moved to Cobourg from Scarborough in 1998.
